Peanut's Room Inspiration

When Peanut was born we were still living in a tiny one bedroom house, so for the first year of her life she slept in our bed or in the pack 'n play next to our bed. When we moved into our new house a few months ago, I was estatic about decorating her "big girl" room.

It's still very much a work in progress, but I've been working on little projects this week adding special touches to her space. There is wall mural in the works, so hopefully I'll have some actual room photos to share soon. In the meantime, feast your eyes on these photos below. I've collected them from various sources and they have all added bits of inspiration for her room.

  1. I am still working on the girls' room. These pictures are beautiful. I was inspired by the houses from the 1820s that I saw on my recent trip and the children's rooms... so simple and comforting. My first project is to get rid of lots and lots of stuff. I hope you make the room a gift to your child, and I know you'll have fun doing it. It's nice to start fresh.

  3. I love the patterns that u used in the crochet hoops (or atleast that's what i call them). I've been working on our girls room and have been leaning towards patterns that are feminine but not too cutesy. So far the 7 yr. old is just as happy as the the 3 and 2 yr. old - is that a miracle or what, lol!
